The Wilwood Superlite caliper series is the benchmark in short track, late model, modified and open wheel competition. It can also be used in a variety of road-race, off-road, rally and sport driving applications. The new FSLI model series is the latest innovation to this Superlite family of calipers. It’s redesign comprehends internal fluid to reduces external brake line problems. Replacing the transfer tube with two additional bleed screw assemblies which allows this group of symmetrical piston bore models to be mounted either right or left in a leading or trailing position. FSL calipers made from stress-flow forged premium grade billet aluminum. The FEA generated body design integrates a highly fortified radial transition that eradicates steps and shoulders between the piston housings and the bridges. All FSL calipers are fitted with center bridge bolts to provide additional strength, and the calipers are fitted with center bridge bolts to provide additional resistance against separation over the center of the pads. The results are a firm, responsive pedal with outstanding stopping power. On-track testing has proven driver satisfaction. The bottom line is better stopping power with less pedal travel.
