Flexplate Bolt Installation
1.
Clean and inspect all hardware prior to installation. Look
for obvious defects or shipping damages. Please call
805-339-2200 with any questions or issues.
2.
DO NOT USE ANY WASHERS with ARP Flexplate bolts.
They are designed to be installed without washers.
Note: ARP will not be responsible for any failures
resulting from using washers with this kit.
3.
Make sure there is an adequate chamfer around the bolt
holes on the flexplate to clear the radius under the head
of the bolt.
4.
Lubricate the under head of the bolt with ARP Ultra-
Torque Fastener Assembly Lubricant.
5.
Lubricate the bolt threads with Loctite 242.
6.
Install the bolts and tighten by hand.
7.
Using an alternating or crisscross pattern, torque the
bolts to:
100 ft-lbs (135.6 Nm) then an additional 75 degrees
OR
250 ft-lbs (339.0 Nm)
