One of the tricks to improving your BMW’s handling is to add negative camber to the front wheels. This brings more of the wheel’s width into contact with the ground when cornering. With more rubber in contact with the road, there’s more grip. BMWs typically have less front camber to create downforce. But if you’re using a stock setup on the track or in autocross, you’ll lose speed and time because the front wheels lose traction sooner than they should.
Our E90, E92, and E93 fixed camber plates are designed based on the knowledge we gained from our highly successful racing campaigns with the E46 in the Speed World Challenge series. Our camber plates are offset to provide the optimal combination of camber and caster for racing purposes when using street-diameter springs. Camber increases to -2.5° depending on your individual suspension setup, while ride height increases by only 6 mm. The rate of camber change remains virtually unchanged throughout the entire range of suspension travel, reducing the need for other geometry corrections. Fixed camber plates are legal in many racing and autocross classes—this is the perfect camber solution when adjustable plates are not permitted in your class.
These are very easy to install; they only require pressing locator dowels and studs into your factory street mounts. See below for detailed instructions.
Designed for use with original top mounts and therefore well-suited for street use, though 2.5 degrees of camber is on the sportier side for street driving.
We do recommend having the car aligned after installation or adjustment of the camber.
