King racing connecting rod bearings for the Ford 1.6L EcoBoost / Zetec S (Caterham, Ford, Mazda, Morgan, Westfield).

Also available in .25 and .50 oversize.

Below is a bunch of technical data on what makes these bearings stronger or better than standard bearings. King bearings feature DLC coating from F1 (Koenigsegg also uses King bearings for example) which ensures that if your engine squeezes the oil out between the bearings because it can build up too much pressure at higher revs, it is still lubricated by a very hard but also extremely smooth coating.

King Factory applied nano-composite polymer coating - with no added thickness!
King's new pMaxKote™ is a nano-composite polymer coating. It is applied in the King factory over the pMaxBlack™ overlay as part of the bearing manufacturing process. It improves wear resistance without changing the original precision wall thickness dimension of the bearing.

King's pMaxKote™ is a new approach to coated bearings. It is proven to protect bearings during metal-to-metal contact, as well as against the erosive effects of cavitation. It contains ceramic nano-composite particles that function as a fourth layer providing superior protection.

pMaxKote™ enhances the following benefits of King XP racing bearings:

- Superior collision resistance

- Superior cavitation resistance

- Superior wear resistance

- Superior oil loss protection

pMaxBlack™ tri-metallic structure

Interlayer
The interlayer of a typical bearing contains 2-3% tin, with hardness values of 90-95 HV. For a superior pMaxBlack™ interlayer, we increased the tin content to 4.5%, making it 22% harder at 115 HV, with a load capacity of 17,000 psi.

pMaxBlack™ overlay.
The overlay of a typical high-performance bearing consists of a leaded alloy containing 2-3% copper. It achieves a hardness rating of 11-14 HV and a maximum load capacity of 8,000-8,500 psi.

King's pMax Black™ overlay is significantly stronger than conventional overlays because of its 5% copper content and an innovative nanoscale hardening process.
