We install stronger bearings than the original ones and provide a 2-year limited warranty on the differential. (The limitation means that the warranty is not unlimited in terms of power and type of use.)

The differential is built to order (due to various configurations). The lead time is typically 10–20 business days.

PG Torsen

This is a Torsen limited-slip differential. It works using worm gears that ensure that when one wheel slips, the other wheel is still driven. If one wheel slips three revolutions, the other wheel will still be driven for at least one revolution. There is no locking effect when the throttle is released. It is therefore a significant improvement over having no locking mechanism at all, but slightly inferior in performance compared to a plate-type limited-slip differential.

Quaife Torsen

OS Giken Superlock

The OS Giken Superlock is a multi-plate limited-slip differential—the type preferred by all BMW motorsport enthusiasts—but offers major advantages over a traditional multi-plate limited-slip differential. For example, it provides up to 100% lock-up and, thanks to the large number of plates, virtually no wear. With a standard plate-type limited-slip differential, the locking effect diminishes over time due to wear.

Normally, 100% lockup is undesirable, as it makes the car harder to steer because the wheels can no longer turn independently. However, with an OS Giken, this works differently because (unlike a standard plate-type limited-slip differential) there are additional central springs in the differential that counteract the locking effect. This means that during normal driving or parking, there is little locking effect, but when you accelerate, it builds up to 100%.
