The factory crown wheel and pinions are prone to cracking and breaking teeth on the pinion. Furthermore, OEM the crown wheel is welded onto the open carrier at the factory.
Our crown wheel and pinion is made from a stronger EN36C material, and profile ground after heat treatment. It is manufactured with bolt holes with a PCD that matches the excellent Wavetrac LSD that suits these units – which means that no specialist machining is required to make these fit with the upgraded LSD.
The unit is built around the Wavetrac LSD in that it uses bolts to bolt up to the LSD unit that they produce.
