Clutch and flywheel
Every car with a manual transmission has a clutch. The clutch is the part of the driveline that can connect or disconnect the connection between the engine and the driveline. This is necessary for shifting gears. The clutch is pressed against the flywheel with strong springs. The clutch roughly consists of 3 parts. Flywheel, friction plate and pressure plate.
