BMW 210 M differential rebuild with trade-in. Applicable to all E31 (including 850CSI and Alpina B12) and E32 (740i, 750i, Alpina B12).
1) Complete overhaul (bearings, oil seals, sandblasting, painting) except for the tensioner bell
Recommended if there is no play on the flanges, but there is a singing noise purely with straight driving. Differential, apart from the spring clutch, again s.g.a.n.
2) Option 1 plus revision of the ZF limited slip valve (for cars already equipped with an OEM limited slip valve).
Recommended when the striker clock/operation also needs to be completely refreshed. Spring clutch and differential as new.
3) Option 1 + 2 combined and upgrade clutch operation (for cars that already have an OEM clutch).
Recommended if the differential has to be in full working order again, the differential has to stay good in the long run and with special attention to better performance and better suitability for sporty street, track and drift use. Complete diff again as good as new.
4) Option 1 + install new OS Giken spring clutch (with intake of a ZF barrier).
Recommended if the differential needs to be fully restored, it needs to remain good in the long run and where best performance is key. Complete diff back to normal.
5) Option 1 + install new OS Giken limited slip differential (For cars without limited slip differential).
Recommended if the differential has to be in full working order again, it has to stay good in the long run and the best performance is key. Complete diff again as good as new.
Above options with return of the broken differential. For option 2, 3, 4 and 5 this can be done on the basis of a differential of our own, so that it can be fixed first and later exchanged for yours.
Adjusting the final ratio or installing another aftermarket sperm is also possible.
