Air duct inlet
In order to transport the air to the brake ventilation outlet, a suitable inlet is essential. The I30N before facelift already has intake ducts in the front bumper ex works, but these end in the middle of the wheel arch. So far we have used these channels in order not to randomly swirl the air in the wheel arch. We have developed an extension to the air channel, which can be installed with minimal effort and connects to the outlet.
Generation 2
< p>The second generation, which is now available, allows the OEM channels to be retained because we have developed inlet funnels for the wishbone. These are simply screwed under the wishbone and have an opening through the wishbone with a hose connection in order to connect the air inlet surface to the anchor plate using a short air hose.
The advantages are obvious: a shorter hose can can be used to generate fewer flow losses. This also makes the system more wear-resistant and full steering wheel angles no longer cause damage to the hose. The final advantage is the ease of installation.
Air duct outlet
We direct the air flow onto the pane at a defined angle in order to avoid any wastage and to use the available air volume as efficiently as possible. Thanks to the lightweight construction in combination with powdered aluminum, the anchor plate is sufficiently strong and at the same time light and insensitive. During and after the braking process, the ball joint is under enormous heat stress because it is extremely close to the hot brake disc. The wear increases disproportionately. Therefore, this anchor plate has an additional shielding of the bearing which increases longevity.
