For example, if the clutch has a mass moment of inertia (Mtm) of 0.061 kg m2, then with a transmission ratio of 13.4:1 (gear ratio 1st gear) on the drive wheel, it will operate at 180 times the action (13.42). When the Mtm is converted into vehicle mass, this results in an additional weight of approximately 145 kg in 1st gear, which must be accelerated.

Due to the low inertia of the SACHS RCS coupling, a substantial reduction is of shift times and faster acceleration of your vehicle.

SACHS RCS Racing Clutch Types

The SACHS RCS motorsport clutches are designed for the lowest possible mass. Its purpose is to transfer the torque from the engine to the transmission as quickly and directly as possible.

Measures that facilitate the transmission and reduce the moment of inertia significantly improve vehicle acceleration in the lowest gears .

Installation instructions.

Since SACHS RCS couplings are not developed specifically for a vehicle, but are vehicle-independent, the vehicle must be adapted to the coupling (see PDF document above) .

The contour of the flywheel, the position, path and shape of the thrust bearing as well as the maximum available mounting space must be checked and adjusted if necessary.


Required information for ordering

When ordering your SACHS RCS coupling, the desired profile of the transmission input shaft must be specified. The various profiles offered are listed in the table under images.

ATTENTION! A clutch needs a suitable flywheel. Our shops have flywheels from TTV for different engines, but if there is none for your engine, you can contact us for a custom flywheel.
